Below is a meal depicting festive meals, often offered to God, as part of prayers ceremony.
Here there are many recipes - let us dig into some.
Kudumulu - Kudumulu are made of wheat and rice flour at my granny's place. Take equal portions of flours, and same amount of hot water with enough salt and mix like chapathi dough. Then make them into patties and steam them.
Coconut chutney - My grandma always makes the dry coconut chutney and it is favorite of many. She makes it with grated coconut. First saute some spices, then grind along with coconut and tamarind juice. Finally add the tadka.
Pasam or payasam or thegala payasam is made of handmade wheat noodles, boiled in water and jaggery, then at the end, but of khus khus powder and rice flour powder paste is added to thicken.
Rice flour balls when added to milk and boiled and then sugar is added - this is another dish called undralla payasam.
Another festive meal prep is undrallu that I covered in another blog post.
