Paruppu Podi

Paruppu podi is a special dish from my grandma's place and her cousin mentioned it when I talked to her.

It is a traditional South Indian dish made with lentils and spices. It is typically served as a side dish or accompaniment to rice. The main ingredients in Paruppu Podi include toor dal (split pigeon peas), chana dal (split chickpeas), urad dal (split black lentils), red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt. The lentils are dry-roasted and ground into a fine powder, which can be stored for several months and used as needed. It is also known as "pappu podi" in Telugu.

It is also a favorite of another grandpa.
