Homemade bread rolls were enjoyed by many of our elderly back in their childhood times and some still love to make. Here is a simple recipe for you to enjoy. This is a picture made of home made bread rolls that are still attached and made like pullout Christmas tree. It was so much fun to pull apart the roll and see if you got the lucky cheese one.
This recipe is very simple and short and my mom always uses it for the pullout dinner roll tree. All in our family love garlic and so we use some fresh garlic and rosemary from the backyard, to top it off and decorate!!
For 3 and half cups all purpose flour or bread flour, take 1 egg, 2 tbl spoons yeast or a packet, and about quarter cup sugar and about half cup vegetable oil. add salt to taste or about 1 tsp.
Mix yeast with oil, water at about 110 F, and sugar and keeping it aside for about 15-20 minutes. Follow the instructions on the yeast packet for the exact amounts and steps. Mix the salt, egg, flour and yeast mixture in kitchen mixer until the dough is soft and smooth.
Don't knead too much and just form the balls and place them in the baking dish in whatever the pan you like.
After baking, garnish with garlic and rosemary, while still warm. If you like, you can add cheese into rolls, in the middle, before baking.
